"Can I make a donation to your site?"
or
"Why do you accept or hit people up for donations?"

OK, here's the straight scoop. I don't charge any money for:

  • Users to access the content on any of my websites.
  • For webmasters to have a link on this website, even though these links have generated them thousands of free referrals.

I never have, and probably never will. I do this because I thoroughly enjoy it. It's my own personal contribution to astronomy on the Internet, and I feel that it's helping to promote the science and hobby of astronomy.

I don't make a profit on this (or any site) I currently run, even WITH the banner advertising. In fact, I am typically in the 'hole' by semi-large amounts, but I do it for the love of the hobby and experience. I have a good, and cheap, web host and I do the design myself, so the layout of money is relatively small per month, but it adds up especially in time.

That having all been said, if you find this site useful, and have the means to do so, I gratefully accept donations. FYI: Your donations are not tax deductible. I'm not a non-profit, just a "no profit" :o). Your donations can be of ANY amount. There are two ways to donate: PayPal or through the Amazon.com Honor System.

Please feel free to use either one and your support is INCREDIBLY appreciated!
